Barbie Kardashian, formerly known as Gabriel Alejandro Gentile, was convicted in 2023 and sentenced to five years in prison.
A transgender-identifying migrant convict has been released from Limerick women’s prison in Ireland after serving two and a half years of a five-year sentence for threats to torture, rape, and kill his mother.Barbie Kardashian, formerly known as Gabriel Alejandro Gentile, was convicted in 2023 and sentenced to five years in prison.
Kardashian agreed to a two-year post-supervision release, and according to the Limerick Post , the release was described as “imminent.”During the trial, Detective Garda Niall Fitzgerald testified that there were “grave concerns” about Kardashian’s “motivation to carry out the threats.” Fitzgerald added that the suspect posed a “significant threat” both to his mother and to “the wider public.”Kardashian, who was placed in state care at age 12, has been diagnosed with multiple personality disorders. At sentencing, Judge Tom O’Donnell described the case as “one of the most complex” he had presided over, noting that Kardashian was “unrepentant” about the threats.
He cited a probation service pre-sentence report that warned of “major concerns that the accused is unrepentant about their threats to kill or cause serious harm to their mother.”“The report concludes the accused is at high risk of not just re-offending, but also about committing serious crimes,” he said, adding that there were concerns about Kardashian’s movements after prison. The judge also noted that five psychiatrists had assessed Kardashian, all concluding that there was a “real danger” he would attempt to carry out his violent “fantasies” of rape and murder.
