PEOPLE are being warned to take care tomorrow (Tuesday) after the Met Office issued an amber heat warning for the West Midlands. Temperatures in Worcestershire – including Bromsgrove and Rubery, Redditch, Droitwich, Kidderminster, Stourport, Bewdley and Worcester – are set to rise to 30°C around midday and then peak at 34°C between 4pm and 6pm. Following the revelation, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and the Met Office have issued advice for people to help them stay as cool as possible. “These kind of temperatures can result in serious health outcomes across the population – particularly in those who are vulnerable, such as the elderly or those with serious health conditions – so it is important that everyone takes sensible precautions while enjoying the sun. This will be the fourth UK heatwave so far this summer.
