HISTORIC England and structural engineers commissioned by Wychavon District Council will visit the Raven Hotel in Droitwich tomorrow (Tuesday). The building was destroyed by fire on Sunday evening with the blaze still burning into the early hours of Monday morning. The structural engineer will liaise with Wychavon’s Head of Building Control who has been on-site all-day, working with the fire service. Coun Richard Morris, who provided the update, said: “There are legal steps to follow both in terms of the Listed Building Act and Building Control Act. “We are working closely with the fire service and our building control officers were visiting the site this morning to review the building and advise of the next steps.
