The bomb disposal unit was also sent to the synagogue and Greater Manchester Police have now said the item was "not viable". ‌Prime Minister Keir Starmer issued a statement following the attack, adding: "The attack in Manchester this morning is absolutely shocking, and all of our thoughts are with those affected. She added: "I am horrified by the antisemitic terrorist attack at a synagogue on the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
