🔴 NJ Senator Holly Schepisi pushes for a bill to teach students about fentanyl and xylazine dangers in schools. 🔴 The bill is named after Max Lenowitz, 25, who died from a fake pill laced with fentanyl on his birthday. Phil Murphy signed a joint resolution into law, designating July 14 as Fentanyl Poisoning Awareness Day. “They are being manufactured overseas, coming up through Mexico, and along the way, have been cut with a potentially lethal dosage of fentanyl,” Schepisi said. Five other states, California, Illinois, Mississippi, Oregon, and Texas, have already mandated instruction on the dangers of fentanyl and xylazine in schools.
