MONONA, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Wisconsin provided an update on a police officer who was seriously injured after being struck by a tow truck that was fleeing from law enforcement. During the pursuit, Officer Kimberley and K9 Freddie were struck while in the squad car. Officer Kimberley was seriously injured; however, he is now in stable condition in the hospital and working to recover. K9 Freddie sustained minor injuries but is now out of the vet. “Officer Kimberley is a brave, dedicated and immensely valuable officer to the Madison Police Department,” a release said.
