Mt Pleasant PD Press Release Narcotics Investigation October 2, 2025On October 1, 2025, the Mount Pleasant Police Department (MPPD) and Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) concluded an over a yearlong narcotics investigation by conducting 4 residential search warrants at locations in Mount Pleasant, Winfield, and Naples. Additionally, 4 individuals were arrested for arrest warrants based upon federal indictments for the possession and distribution of illegal narcotics. MPPD and DPS were assisted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. During the execution of the search warrants, 11 illegally possessed firearms, almost a pound each of methamphetamine and cocaine, and over a pound of marijuana were seized.
