Court records indicate that Vacaville City Councilmember and Solano County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Roy Stockton was directly named as a defendant in Nakia Porter’s lawsuit against the Solano County Sheriff’s Office, which recently settled for $17 million. Days after the settlement was announced, The Reporter learned that Stockton had settled with the defendant separately in May. “I was originally named in the lawsuit because of my professional role as a sergeant at the Solano County Sheriff’s Office,” Stockton wrote in a statement to The Reporter. The complaint alleges that this action went against the Solano County Sheriff’s Office policy on body cameras. The complaint shows that Solano County Sheriff’s Deputy Dale Matsuoka and Sergeant Cully Pratt also made Facebook posts with Three Percenter insignia.
