Around two months ago, the councillor requested a speed survey be carried out on the stretch of road which highlighted moderate levels of speeding. Coun Birch said: “The highways improvement budget is under increasing pressure. My priority is making sure every part of Droitwich East benefits from investment. “By taking a staggered, cost-effective approach, we can stretch funds further and deliver improvements to more areas. “It was important to act quickly and put measures in place to help tackle the issue.”
