“I grew up near Fairfield and attended Sandy Creek High School,” Calvin shared. “I was very active in 4-H and FFA, and that really sparked my love for animal science. In 2023, Calvin received the Achievement in Service Award from the National Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals, one of only two Nebraska recipients.
