West Mercia’s Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion is once again inviting residents to take part in the ‘Pin a Poppy’ tribute ahead of Remembrance Day. Six Unknown Tommy statues will be installed outside police stations in Telford, Malvern, Shrewsbury, Hereford, Kidderminster, and at West Mercia Police Headquarters, Hindlip, from Friday, September 26. Communities are encouraged to create weatherproof poppies to pin on the iron figures in tribute to servicemen and women past and present.
