One Week Left to Comment on Worcestershire Nature Recovery Strategy
[]
The Droitwich Standard
Worcestershire residents have just one week left to have their say on the draft Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS), which aims to protect and restore the county’s natural environment.
The LNRS is part of a national initiative to create a Nature Recovery Network, connecting habitats across England.
Worcestershire’s strategy will identify local priorities and practical actions to boost biodiversity, covering wildflower meadows, ancient woodlands, traditional orchards, and floodplain habitats.
Councillor Ian Cresswell, Cabinet Member for Environment and Communities, said: “This draft strategy sets out our commitment to safeguarding and improving Worcestershire’s exceptional natural environment.
The final strategy will be presented to Cabinet in winter 2025/26.
