Menahga School sets preliminary levy at maximum

The Menahga School Board set the preliminary payable 2026 levy “the maximum allowable amount” set by the Minnesota Department of Education’s (MDE) state formula.

They have an estimation.”ADVERTISEMENTThe maximum is currently projected to be $2,281,494, a 12% or $258,747 increase over the final 2025 levy.
“A lot of the revenue is driven by enrollment,” said Todd Netzke, president of School Management Services, LLC (SMS), noting that 2026 enrollment is estimated at 1,000 students, or an increase of 33.
The final levy will be determined at the time, followed by the regular board meeting.
