Torrance Transit has partnered with South Bay Forward, an organization with the goal of expanding housing and transportation in the region, to hold the second annual South Bay Transit Summit, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Torrance Transit Center, 485 Crenshaw Blvd. The event, which is part of SoCal Transit Month, will include key updates on major transit projects in the South Bay, including the C (K) Line Extension to Torrance and the LAX Metro Transit Center. LA Metro will also provide updates on the LAX Metro Transit Center that opened in June. To conclude the summit, there will be advocacy workshops where the community can provide comments on not only the C (K) Line Extension to Torrance, but also the Redondo Beach Blvd. Additional organizations tabling will include South Bay Cities COG, CalBike, Inglewood Transit Connector, South Bay Forward, Torrance Transit and MoveLA.
