The Asian identity is not solely defined by the traditions and cultures of my ancestors who lived long ago. Even though I don’t know my culture, even though I don’t know my heritage, I am still Asian. Having an Asian identity doesn’t mean you have to be a good Asian or that you can’t carve your own path. Having an Asian identity simply means you are Asian. Don’t have a strong connection, don’t know the traditions, don’t even know the languages.
