Jeff Spross at The Week echoed this idea when covering another new taxi cooperative, Transunion Car Service, based in Newark, New Jersey. The union-backed cooperatives combine the solutions of classifying Uber drivers as employees and of socializing the company’s ownership. He believes that the Green Taxi drivers’ strategy has a value that goes far beyond Denver city limits.
