Share this: TweetWhatsAppPresident Kagame has arrived in Cairo for an Official Visit to Egypt. He was welcomed by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of Egypt to Al-Ittihadiya Palace. The two Heads of State are now holding tête-à-tête discussions before being joined by members of their respective delegations for an expanded meeting. Egypt and Rwanda enjoy excellent and diversified relations in many political, economic, cultural, and developmental fields, sharing common interests in various regional and international issues, in addition to their membership in different regional organizations including COMESA, NEPAD INITIATIVE, the AFRICAN UNION, and the NILE BASIN INITIATIVE. The Egyptian Embassy in Kigali was opened in 1976, and the Rwandan Embassy in Cairo re-opened in March 2015.
