A new mobile app has been launched during Gas Safety Week 2025 to help frontline workers safeguard vulnerable communities from the dangers of carbon monoxide (CO).
Carbon monoxide, often called the “silent killer”, is odourless and tasteless, making it difficult to detect.
The app offers frontline workers – from fire and rescue teams to social workers – immediate guidance on identifying symptoms, responding to emergencies, and understanding CO alarm legislation.
Dan Edwards, Social Impact Programme Lead at SGN, said: “We’re excited to launch the Think CO app, which will be a vital resource for frontline teams working with vulnerable households.
Hilary Bath, Programme Director at the Gas Safe Charity, added: “The Think CO app is a critical tool that will empower frontline teams with the resources they need to protect vulnerable individuals.
