DC Studios boss James Gunn has taken to the platform formerly known as Twitter to confirm what seems to be a Superman sequel – revealing a title Man Of Tomorrow, with a piece of art (from Jim Lee, no less!) featuring Superman, Lex Luthor in a green mech suit, alongside a release date: 9 July 2027. If the title Man Of Tomorrow sounds familiar, it draws from the comics, with a mid-‘90s DC run titled Superman: The Man Of Tomorrow. The name was also used for a 2020 animated movie, Superman: Man Of Tomorrow. Stay tuned for updates on whether the title for this new film – which, again, it’s not yet confirmed but likely will be written and directed by Gunn himself – goes by the full title 'Superman: Man Of Tomorrow', or if it lops off its hero’s name.
