Conjuring hive, assemble: something wicked this way comes! Per Variety's reporting, HBO Max's The Conjuring TV series — first announced back in 2023 — has just found its showrunner and writers, and they come packing some serious franchise pedigree. As Variety confirm, Nancy Won — whose diverse array of writing credits include Apple TV+'s Sunny, Marvel's Jessica Jones, and Supernatural — is set to serve as writer, showrunner, and executive producer on the series. Meanwhile, Agatha All Along and Moon Knight scribes Peter Cameron and Cameron Squires — whose combined CV also folds in Star Wars series The Acolyte, Agent Elvis, and the upcoming Gen V Season 2 — will lend their talents to the show in a writing capacity alongside Won. Longtime franchise guides James Wan and Peter Safran won't be directly involved in steering the series, which will continue The Conjuring universe's story and mythos in an as-yet-unconfirmed way, but the duo are aboard as EPs nevertheless.
