What a time to be a Daredevil fan, eh? Seven years ago, it seemed that Charlie Cox's man without fear was dead and gone, with Netflix's Daredevil Season 3 arriving as an inglorious, impromptu swansong for our favourite scarlet-clad vigilante. Fast forward to now, and not only have we seen the Devil of Hell's Kitchen make his MCU debut proper in bone-crunching revival Daredevil: Born Again earlier this year, and not only has showrunner Dario Scardapane already got a second season in the can and on its way, but — thanks to IGN — we have confirmation that Season 3 has been greenlit and is well on its way. However, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation Brad Winterbaum has stepped in to set the record straight. "In terms of Daredevil, yeah, we are greenlit for Season 3 and we start shooting next year," the top brass told IGN, revealing — as you may expect — nothing more about the who, what, where, when, and why of Matt Murdock's return.
