The project aims for the development of dispersive photonic chips (e.g. arrayed waveguide gratings) working at near infrared wavelengths. Depending on the technical feasibility the chips shall work in the bands (J-band) 1.1-1.3 µm and (K-band) 2.05-2.45 µm. The output spectrum shall be in free space and it shall be possible to reimage the spectrum on a detector. According to the current plan, the procurement should be released in Q4 2020 and use the Best Value for Money adjudication system.
