Community members of all ages are invited to join in Sunday, Sept. 28, for the return of the city’s annual event, “Bike the Ridge,” featuring cycling, community and fun.
Between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., Ridge Avenue will transform into a car-free zone, closed to vehicle traffic, allowing cyclists to pedal their way from Howard to Church streets.
Mayor Daniel Biss will officially kick off this free, noncompetitive event at 9 a.m. at the intersection of Ridge Avenue and Howard Street.
Bicycles are not allowed on Ridge Avenue at any other time of the year.
Reminder for Ridge Avenue residentsResidents along Ridge Avenue will not have access to their driveways between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sept. 28.
