But despite that challenge, the folks at SPACE jumped at the opportunity to book Cañizares and her two colleagues.
This is Cañizares’ first U.S. tour, and the Monday night show at SPACE was just the second gig of the tour.
Cañizares’ music is also influenced by the great jazz violinist Stéphane Grappelli, although her style and most of her musical choices fall outside the norms of traditional jazz.
Tomas played an unusual bass guitar.
