Mars has confirmed that all ten of its European snacking factories are now fully powered by renewable energy, following years of sustained investment into its manufacturing base across the region. The move, which spans facilities in the Czech Republic, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and the UK, means 900,000 tonnes of Mars’ household favourites – including Snickers, Twix, M&M’s, Skittles and Orbit/Extra – are now produced using renewable energy. Since investing in its first European windfarm in 2016, Mars has transitioned all of its confectionery sites across the continent to renewable electricity.
