THE ROYAL Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (ROH) has appointed a new chief executive. The trust confirmed its appointment of Matthew Hartland following a competitive recruitment process. Hartland has been working with the Trust on secondment and will formally take up the role in early October, subject to standard pre-employment checks. Simon Page, chair of trustees at ROH, praised Hartland’s leadership and alignment with the Trust’s values. He added: “Matthew’s passion for patients, commitment to our people, and strong alignment with our values have been evident from the very beginning.”Commenting on his appointment, Matthew Hartland said it was a privilege to be appointed chief executive.
