WEST Mercia Police reinforced the importance of safe driving as part of the National Road Victim Awareness Month throughout the whole of August. During the past week, officers from West Mercia have detected a number of offences, including drink-driving, drug-driving, using a handheld mobile phone at the wheel, child seat and seatbelt offences and speeding. A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “That’s real lives we are talking about, families that are left absolutely devastated. West Mercia Police wants to thank Ange, Diana, Leanne, Louise, Abbie and Lucy for their courage in sharing deeply personal stories. It is funded by the West Mercia PCC to support victims across the West Mercia Police area.
