A TOTAL of 14 fire engines attended a severe blaze in Longbridge last night (Wednesday). The fire broke out around 10.35pm in West Works Way. At the height of the incident, 14 fire engines and two hydraulic platforms attended and worked to extinguish the flames. Crews – more than 60 firefighters – were supported throughout the night by drone operators giving a bird’s eye view of the incident. Bristol Road South was closed between Longbridge island and the McDonald’s as the emergency services and engineers deal with the scene.
