MORE than 240 homes in Northfield and Weoley Castle are without electricity after three separate power cuts in the areas. In the first one, roads including Long Mynd Road, Shenley Lane and Merritts Hill are without power, some 75 homes. In Maryland Drive, Northfield, 88 homes are without power – electricity should be restored there by 10pm. And in the third power cut, a total of 70 homes are affected – including properties in Jervoise Drive, Windmill Hill, Baylis Close and The Leys. National Grid apologises to customers affected and adds engineers are on the scene to try and restore power as quickly as possible.
