JOSE Marquez scored a perfect hat-trick as Alvechurch upset higher-division Leamington 3-0 in FA Cup second round qualifying. Marquez netted a stunning nine-minute treble to dump their National League North opponents out of the competition at Lye Meadow. After a goalless first half, Alvechurch broke the deadlock on 72 minutes when Marquez sent a sublime lob over Leamington goalkeeper Rogan Ravenhill from 20-yards out. However, Alvechurch goalkeeper Redman Evans saved Ant Lynn’s penalty to compound Leamington’s misery. Alvechurch are next in action against Bury Town on Saturday, September 20 with kick-off at 3pm at Ram Meadow.
