A PARISH council in Bromsgrove has made the decision to remove ‘unauthorised’ Union and England flags from lamp posts across the village, after Armistice Day. At their meeting last week (September 18), Wythall Parish Council discussed the display of the flags on what they say are Parish Council lamp posts. It added: “The parish council recognises and respects the range of public feelings on this matter. “Wythall Parish Council remains committed to upholding community choice, safety, and the respectful and appropriate display of our nation’s flag.”Coun Adam Kent represents the area on Worcestershire County Council. He confirmed that some of the lamp posts in Hollywood and Wythall are owned by Worcestershire County Council and some are owned by the parish council.
