Starting October 8, the Star section on Disney+ will be replaced by Hulu, aligning the Canadian platform with the U.S. and other international markets. Alongside the rebrand, Disney+ is rolling out design changes, including a new navigation bar with tabs for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN in the U.S. (depending on subscription). Unlike in the U.S., Hulu never came to Canada because most of its content was already tied up in licensing deals with Canadian broadcasters, so Disney instead created Star on Disney+ as the international alternative. More features are expected in the lead-up to the integrated Disney+ and Hulu app next year. Click here to sign up for Disney+ in Canada.
