Regina Simões

Regina Simões has been A2ii Regional Coordinator for Latin America since 2017.
Prior to joining A2ii, Regina worked for over 20 years as an insurance supervisor at the Superintendência de Seguros Privados (SUSEP), Brazil's insurance authority, with a proven track record in insurance regulation, product development, and international collaboration.
As SUSEP's International Relations Coordinator, she acted as a representative to international partners and associations; was a member of the Brazilian Delegation at the Financial Services Group Meetings in the World Trade Organization (WTO); and Coordinator of Brazilian Delegation in the Insurance Commission and the Solvency Margin Sub-commission / SGT-4 / Financial Issues / MERCOSUR.
Regina holds a degree in Architecture from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), an MBA in Finance from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), and a postgraduate degree in Planning Engineering from COPPE/UFRJ – IDEAS.
She is based in Rio de Janeiro and speaks Spanish, Portuguese (native) and English.
