Inam was reacting to the hunger strike of incarcerated MP from Baramulla, Engineer Rashid, who is on his second day of protest inside Tihar Jail, said a press release. Yesterday Er Rashid wrote to Bapu, recalling how Gandhi Ji once saw Kashmir as a beacon of hope when the subcontinent was burning in communal flames. Today, that very Kashmir is branded anti-national, communal and silenced. Er Rashid’s letter to Bapu is not just a message from jail; it is the cry of an entire people.”
