The five and six -year -old children were maintained for 30 minutes before being released after the intervention of Palestinian residents and foreign activists. The Israeli forces detained the children claiming that they were spying on a house occupied by an Israeli settler. The local news agency Wafa reported that the Palestinian children were playing soccer close to home. “The rights of Palestinian children to life, health, education, movement and other rights are denied daily. Every day, children are killed, injured or arbitrarily detained by Israeli forces in occupied Palestinian territory (TPO),” the statement added.
