Wendy Joya, a graduate student studying mechanical engineering, is working on research to spark students' interest in biomanufacturing careers, including using virtual reality technologies. Mechanical engineering graduate student Wendy Joya is interested in the emerging field of biomanufacturing because it blends biology and engineering. Joya is working on a research project to develop a biomanufacturing curriculum for high school and college students, as well as degree and certificate programs that lead to biomanufacturing jobs.
