Reynolds Community College and the Virginia Public Access Project are partnering to host a forum designed to encourage civic engagement and help Virginians better understand politics and government at the state and local levels, in advance of this year's elections. The free public event will feature a panel discussion about the importance of civic participation, particularly with this fall’s elections approaching. Panelists will include Reynolds President Paula Pando and Virginia Commonwealth University political science professor Jatia Wrighten. VPAP, a nonpartisan nonprofit, provides tools and data that allow Virginians to track campaign finance, follow legislation, and better understand the workings of state and local government. The program aims to highlight why civic engagement matters and to provide practical resources for those who want to be active participants in shaping Virginia’s future.
