From noon to 1pm at its Ealing Broadway Express store in the centre, shoppers will be able to take part in a lucky dip to find a golden voting token and earn a grant to one of three schools. Those hoping to secure the £5,000 are East Acton Primary School, which wants to instal a garden area, Montpelier Primary, which aims to invest in outdoor building blocks, and St Vincent's, which wants to revamp its playground. Lorvin Afonso, store manager at Ealing Broadway Express, said: “[We] will be creating a party atmosphere for a fantastic cause.”The event is part of Tesco’s £8m Stronger Starts programme, which supports children and young people.
