West Twyford in the Hanger Hill Ward has been plagued by rogue ‘garages’, who routinely park dozens of cars, mostly unregistered, damaged vehicles, on double and single yellow lines in residential streets. When Cllr Oxley visited, he found parking tickets strewn about the street and a wheel clamp sawn off and dumped. In January this year alone, 27 parking tickets were issued but only two were paid. Several of the towed vehicles have outstanding parking tickets associated with them. One of the Range Rovers had 10 unpaid parking tickets.
