Ubisoft and Tencent have unveiled a new subsidiary called Vantage Studios. The million-dollar deal made Tencent, which already has invested in other well-known game studios, Ubisoft's largest shareholder, with an overall stake that could be increased to up to 17%. Venture Studios Will Oversee Some of Ubisoft's Largest FranchisesUbisoft and Tencent have announced the opening of Vantage Studios, a new subsidiary that will work on the development and expansion of the Rainbow Six, Assassin's Creed, and Far Cry franchises. The post on Ubisoft's official website states that Vantage Studios will comprise the development teams for the three franchises based at Ubisoft's studios in Montreal, Quebec, Sherbrooke, Saguenay, Barcelona, and Sofia. Tencent has invested €1.2 billion ($1.25 billion) in Venture Studios and will own about a quarter of the new business, with Ubisoft holding the rest.
