At around 5pm on Wednesday (17) police and ambulance staff were summoned after reports of a collision involving a motor cycle and a pedestrian. It appears the motor cycle was driving down the middle of the carriageway before being involved in the crash. The pedestrian, a woman in her 20s, was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition with life-threatening injuries. The motor cyclist did not stop but is believed to have driven back towards the scene before travelling down Pitshanger Lane.
