A truck catching on fire created a wildland fire in 100 Mile House. Fire Chief Dave Bissat says ten members of the Fire Rescue arrived on the scene behind the outrider arena on Wrangler Way at approximately 1:50 this afternoon, September 19. “We contained the fire fairly quickly.”Bissat says the truck caught fire as the occupant of the vehicle was believed to have been working on the motor when something sparked up and caught him on fire. The truck’s occupant was able to be put out, and Bissat says the occupant was not injured. 100 Mile House Fire Rescue was on the scene for about an hour.
