The Evacuation Alert for the Xeni-Taseko Fire Area has been lifted.
The Cariboo Regional District, Xeni Gwet’in First Nation, and Tŝilhqot’in National Government issued the Evacuation Alert on September 13 due to wildfire dangers.
The Alert covered 81 parcels and 78,852 hectares.
The Cariboo Regional District cautions residents in the Alert’s area to still be prepared to evacuate should another Alert or Order be issued.
