The family lambs about 1,500 Swaledale and 1,500 half-bred ewes. We've done well - we got four prizes at the first sale and three at the second, so it's been a good year. We thought the first prize 10s were one of the best pens we had at home. The fifth prize pen from the Walker family, Appletreewick – Thomas Walker is NEMSA’s new Skipton Branch chairman – made £255, the sixth prize winners from John Airey and family, Elslack, £195. In the mix, plenty of the best lambs traded at £180-£210, next grade tuppers £145-£170, strong running lambs £125-£140, next grade running lambs looking buyable at £95-£120, just a handful of late-born lambs selling less.
