The tour, which is part of the nation's largest suicide prevention initiative, has seen a group of volunteers whose lives have been touched by suicide carry a baton around city landmarks. One of the volunteers today (October 2) included Louise Layton, who fundraises with the local charity We Are Farming Minds. Brenda Nicholas, who lost her son to suicide 18 years ago, was another volunteer who donned a blue Baton of Hope shirt whilst venturing around the city. "I just hope that doing this walk today will bring suicide more to the front," she added. The event will culminate today with an official end at Hereford's Town Hall at 3.30pm.
