Music Faculty Member Theresa Delaplain Wins American Prizekaren schwartz Oboist Theresa DelaplainAssociate professor Theresa Delaplain has won first place in the 2025 American Prize in Instrumental Performance (Winds) competition. The American Prize is a series of non-profit, national competitions designed to recognize and reward the very best in the performing arts in the United States. The American Prize was founded in 2009 and is awarded annually. The American Prize is judged solely through recorded performances. Delaplain teaches oboe and music theory in the Music Department, is a member of the Lyrique Quintette, is a founding member of the SHE Festival of Women in Music and is a Lorée Artist.
