They were called to the scene at Chalmers Street last night, where the blaze was extinguished after around 20 minutes. A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 8.41pm on Wednesday, October 1, to reports of a bin fire near to Woodhead Court, Dunfermline. "Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene where firefighters extinguished a fire in a metal skip. "Crews ensured the area was made safe and left at 9pm. There were no reported casualties."
