By Zoila Palma: The Caribbean Week of Agriculture (CWA) 2025 is underway in Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis, bringing together regional leaders, stakeholders, and youth to discuss the future of Caribbean food systems.
Representing Belize, MAFSE Extension Officer Abimael Puck is participating as the CARICOM Youth in Agriculture representative.
He joined the youth forum panel alongside other young leaders from across the region to highlight innovation, climate-smart agriculture, and youth engagement in transforming the sector.
Held under the theme “Sowing Change, Harvesting Resilience: Transforming Our Caribbean Food Systems for 2025 and Beyond,” CWA 2025 emphasizes reducing regional food imports by 25%, promoting sustainable practices, and advancing youth involvement in agriculture.
