By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 65-year-old Belize City car washer has been fined after admitting to two offenses, including giving police a false name when caught with a crack pipe. The charges arose from a September 25, 2025 incident on Cleghorn Street, when police found Castillo with a 4 ½ inch pipe adapted for drug use. When questioned, he attempted to mislead officers by giving a false name. For possession of the pipe, Castillo was fined $100 plus $5 court costs, payable by October 31, 2025, or in default, one month in prison. For giving a wrong name, he was fined $50 plus $5 court costs, due by October 15, 2025, or in default, two weeks’ imprisonment.
