The New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich has been nominated for the Excellence in Inclusivity award at the 2025 UK Theatre Awards. Douglas Rintoul, chief executive and artistic director of the New Wolsey Theatre, said: "To be shortlisted for this UK Theatre Award – one of the most prestigious national awards celebrating excellence across the industry – shines a light on the vital difference we make beyond the stage. Central to the nomination is the theatre’s Eat, Sleep, Move, Repeat project, delivered by its Creative Communities team in partnership with Ipswich Jobcentre Plus. Sessions were held at both Jobcentre Plus and the New Wolsey Theatre. The theatre worked with organisations including Aspire Black Suffolk, Suffolk Pride and Leading Lives to reach more people in need.
